I’m learning to knit once more… Not bad, eh? It’s much better than my earlier tries. No idea what it’s going to be, though. Perhaps the words smallest scarf?

Yes, I found some motivation again. It’s been nearly a year, I’d say. And Back-Tack 4 is coming soon, I want to do something again.
First step: learning to knit properly this time.

Recently, I've been starting to wear hairsticks to keep my hair up and even more recently, been interested in making them. Since I don't have any woodwork equipement, I bought some blank sticks and added some tops. So far, only one came out nice. It's dark wood topped with a leave crown and a glass millifiori heart.

I didn't mean it in the manner that I'm unsatisfied that some items didn't arrive. I don't hold it against people (and hope they don't hold it against me) when boxes don't arrive.
It's just that I was extremely dissapointed that I recieved nothing but feedback that made me look bad. I try my best to be a good swapper, hoping that my partners won't flake. So far, the people I have dealt with, both partners and other participants have been absolute dolls.
I was extremely upset over various things and that was the last straw.

I'm seriously going to rethink my participation in swaps (not counting the ones I have already made a commitment for) because so far, the whole experience has been dissapointing.
The people who I have been in contact are adorable but it's the few bad experiences that I've had that have spoilt it so far.

This morning, the concierge nabbed me on the way out and asked me about packages she was going to send back, if I knew anything about them.
Well, duh yes because they’re for meeeeeeee!!! 😉
The first one is my November sampler from The Sampler. The second one was my long awaited Holiday Cheer package from the lovely Linn. Inside the enveloppe coming from Scotland (Scotland!!!), there was a little ornament with “Lily” on its cap. It appears to be a little metal bird all dressed up against the cold.
There was also an advent calendar card. I love those. And I love even more the fact that I could open the first 9 windows in one go 😀
